Transdev chooses YouTransactor mobile fine solution

Transdev, a major public transport operator present in 20 countries, has chosen YouTransactor for its electronic fines solution to be used in buses of greater Paris area.

The solution will enable TransDev officers to control local transit cards on buses, issue fines to travelers, and propose them card payment on the spot with a mobile payment terminal.

YouTransactor leverages on its global positioning on mPOS terminals, and leadership on electronic fines in France, to propose a digital payment solutions to Transdev for their revenue inspection service.

YouTransactor provides POS terminals for Open Payment control in Dijon’s buses and tramways

YouTransactor, leader in mPOS solutions, will equip the city of Dijon with Open Payment control terminals.

Since March 2018, the city of Dijon is the first in France to equip its tramways and buses with contactless validators, as part of its ticketless strategy. This open payment service, enables passengers to purchase their tickets on-board, to ease their access to public transports. It also prevents them from queuing at vending machines and ensures they pay the most appropriate fare.

Controllers will use YouTransactor uCube terminal, to verify travelers have paid their fare, increasing control efficiency and reliability. Indeed, when approached for a control, passengers will simply have to tap their debit card on uCube device, hold by bus officers, to show their identity and fare validity, leveraging on a contactless EMV transaction.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) uses SK100 for fare evasion controls

DART fare enforcement officers now use YouTransactor SK100 terminal for their day-to-day operations. For instance, they will perform ticket inspections of local transit cards and EMV contactless chip cards. In addition, the revenue inspection terminal, connected in 3G, will increase officers mobility and cover all types of modes of transport.

DART, Dallas transit agency, is North Texas largest transportation authority, with over 65 millions passenger trips a year. Like many public transport systems around the world, DART has been suffering from fare evasion, the act of traveling without a valid ticket. The fleet of SK100 devices will support their policy to increase ticket inspections and tackle the issue.
